A SCUNTHORPE drug user, who was arrested when he was going to attend an Addaction appointment, had a small amount of cannabis tucked into his shoe.
rolex replicaMartin Howarth, prosecuting at North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court, said Daniel Wilks was arrested on an unrelated matter on Shelford Street on the morning of January 7. He was taken to the police station and searched.
"In the tongue of his show was a clear, plastic bag, which appeared to contain a herbal substance," Mr Howarth said.
replica clothingWilks told officers it was cannabis and he had bought it for Pounds 10 for his own use.
Ian Haywood, mitigating, pointed out: "He was not arrested for possessing cannabis. He was arrested for a totally unrelated matter that was not proceeded with.
"They found the item on him when they searched him.
"He was arrested outside Shelford House, were he was going for an Addaction appointment."
Urging the bench to give his client a conditional discharge for the admitted charge, Mr Haywood said: "It has been 12 months since he committed a criminal offence."

Wilks, 28, of Anderson Road, was given a 12-month conditional discharge, with Pounds 70 costs. An order was made for the destruction of the drug.
He was told the court debt would be deducted from his Job Seeker's Allowance.
