Man saved by barefooted neighb

An elderly handicapped man suffered serious injuries Friday morning when his mobile home caught fire and rolex replica trapped him.

The fire, in the 6000 block of Promenade, near Lake Contrary, was sparked by a propane heater 74 year old William Taylor was using. He was alone inside when fire began. He was able to make it to the front door, but then became entangled on the porch trying to escape. That's when a teenage neighbor heard Taylor screaming for help. With no shoes on, 13 year old Preston Handsom ran through the snow and up on to the porch and pulled Taylor to safety.

Mr. Taylor suffered 2nd and third degree burns over most of his body according to fire inspector, Steve Henrichson. Taylor was taken to Heartland emergency for treatment and later transferred by Life Net helicopter to the KU Medical

Preston Handsom suffered first and second degree burns to his arm and hands as well as exposure to his bare feet, but the boy and his mother chose to refuse treatment after paramedics examined him at the scene.
