TWO women have been arrested after a sharp-eyed CCTV operator caught them assaulting a tourist on camera.
led tubesThe incident happened early yesterday evening when the two women walked into a fast-food restaurant in Princes Street and began to harass a Japanese tourist.
An city centre CCTV operator watched as one of the women pulled the terrified tourist's hair and the other one grabbed her handbag. Both women then ran out of the Burger King restaurant and along Princes Street, unaware that their getaway was being tracked by CCTV.
Police stopped two women at Castle Street after Dimmable LED Down Light K1031 - 8x1W / 8x3W the camera operator kept officers informed of their movements. The tourist was not seriously injured , but
embroidered patches was shaken. Her stolen bag containing money, credit cards and personal items was recovered .
A police spokesman confirmed two women were arrested and charged with assault and robbery, and added: "A 24-year-old woman and a 17-year-old woman are expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today following an incident in Princes Street yesterday evening."
